Like with most recap movies, the series is still much better. That said if you were interested in Revue Starlight before, it was probably because of the revues and music, which are, for the most part, in here in their entirety. If you have watched the series before, the movie pushes aside every character who isn't Karen, Hikari, and Nana to make time, which definitely makes this the inferior viewing option. But, the Nana and Giraffe conversations, the new graphics of the title cards, and the final few shots make the entire thing a fairly new and refreshing experience, so I'd still recommend it. The last thingI want to note is that, as someone who had very much enjoyed the original series but hadn't watched it since my first time three years ago, watching this movie very much reinvigorated my love of the series. It reminded me why I loved it, and since rewatching the movie when it released on Blu-Ray back in February, I've watched this movie at least 3 more times, as well as the entire original series. It really is an amazing series, and I cannot recommend it more to those who feel it had lost its shine.

It's simply great to see our Starlight girls again after quite a while. As already indicated in the MAL Synopsis, Rondo Rondo Rondo is a compilation from the main series. Therefore I will be relatively brief with this review. There is no new plot or action waiting for us, much more we get a well made summary of what has happened so far. All the characters and their backstories which we know from the main series are also summarized. Also in this film, the focus is on our duo Hikari and Karen, who want to fulfill their dream together. The animation is exactly as we already have seenbefore, all the elements are presented very nicely. The details can also be clearly seen here. A few minor details have been changed compared to the main series, but in the end it's more or less exact the same. The music and songs always played a big role in Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight. We already know the OP "Hoshi no Dialogue" and the ED "Fly Me to the Star" from the series. With "Saisei Sanbika" we hear a new song that was composed for this film. This one is also special and nice to listen to, the Revue Starlight vibe can be clearly heard. As someone who enjoys Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight a lot, I was naturally hyped for this film, even though it is only a compilation. It's just nice to see our stage girls again and how they give everything to make their dream come true. Those who have not had anything to do with Revue Starlight before will surely enjoy this film even more. The whole plot is overwhelming. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend watching the main series, everything is way more detailed there. But also for those who already know all of these before will like this one. Just enjoy what has happened so far once more! In the end, I am sure that we are all hyped for the "real film" with a new action and plot "Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Movie", which will also be released later this year. Let's keep following the development of our stage girls and how their dreams come true!
