Synopsis

After Sentouin D successfully infiltrated the Ranger Force in the disguise of Hibiki Sakurama, he is closer than ever to defeating the heroic Dragon Keepers. While strategizing his ideal placement in the Force, he discovers that he is assigned to the Green Squadron, whose main duty is to search and eradicate long-lost boss monsters. Joined by another new member, Angel Usukubo; their senior, Kanon Hisui; and a mysterious informant, Chidori, Sentouin D is first tasked with identifying suspicious activity in an abandoned school frequented by delinquents. During their investigation, they fall into a trap, and the group soon realizes that a boss monster is behind it all. Sentouin D must now find a way to escape alongside the others if he wants to continue pursuing his ultimate goal—achieving his ideal world free from boss monsters and the Dragon Keepers. This review is going to be short and spoiler free: READ THE MANGA. I'm not saying this because of the "Omg those anime onlies don't know how BAD their anime is. We are the true fans", I am a anime only usually but for Sentai Daishikkaku, I began to read it just after the School Arc and this was the best choice I would have ever made about it. Ok but why am I saying this? Because the second half of the anime is an adaptation of 50 CHAPTERS!! In comparison: the first season adapted 50 chapters too and the School Arc was something like 25 chapters, andthe Zoo Arc was 3 minutes in the anime while being like 10 chapters in the manga. They skipped sooooo much things! The anime is still "good" if you're an anime only, but the anime skipped so much things that the next season (if it'll exist someday) will be even more confusing. I am not mad at the anime because I can feel how much the animators loved the manga but they just couldn't do much without enough money, that's why it is 12 episodes long instead of 24, lacks of soundtracks and some animations are below the average. TL;DR: We hate you Disney+

I was genuinely intrigued by Season 1. The concept stood out: a world where the usual heroes (the Power Rangers) are actually the villains, and the supposed monsters are portrayed with more depth and complexity. It was a refreshing twist that made me excited to see how the story would unfold. Unfortunately, Season 2 completely falls apart. The pacing is extremely rushed. Key plot developments are either skipped over or barely explained, and as a result, the story feels incoherent. Character development, which was one of the strengths of the first season, is almost nonexistent here. Characters behave inconsistently, and their motivations—especially the monsters—make little to nosense. Why would they suddenly turn against their leader and ally themselves with the Rangers, who have enslaved and oppressed them for years? These decisions feel forced and unearned. The animation also took a noticeable dip. Action scenes lack the energy and clarity they once had, and many moments feel visually flat or unfinished. The music is equally underwhelming—generic, forgettable, and rarely enhancing the mood or tension of the scenes. What’s most frustrating is that the series had potential. It introduced a morally grey world and a fresh take on familiar tropes. But Season 2 squanders that by rushing through important plotlines and leaving characters feeling hollow and emotionally disconnected. Unless you're deeply attached to the series or just want to see how it ends, I can't recommend Season 2.
