YOASOBI simply seems incapable of making bad music. Even though Undead is one of the group's songs that has least impressed me so far, it still manages to be extremely good. This says a lot about the duo's musical quality. After listening to the Beastars openings, especially those songs full of unique personality and energy, I ended up completely hooked on YOASOBI's style. Since then, I started looking for more of their music, and that eventually led me to Undead. What I like most about the group is how they manage to create songs with a very unique identity. There's always that mix of energetic instrumental withIkura's smooth and emotional vocals, something that makes the songs both relaxing and intense depending on the moment. Undead follows exactly this formula, but in a slightly calmer way compared to the duo's more explosive songs. The song has a very pleasant atmosphere to listen to. It's the kind of sound that works both paying attention to the lyrics and just letting it play in the background while doing something else. The instrumental is light, the vocals are great as always, and the production is extremely clean. It's easy to see the care the group puts into every detail of their compositions. Even though it's not my favorite of theirs, I still found it a very good experience. Perhaps the biggest "problem" is precisely the fact that I automatically compared it to other incredibly memorable songs by YOASOBI themselves. When you've already heard some of the duo's best tracks, the standard of expectation ends up being very high. Even so, Undead remains a very pleasant and easy-to-revisit song. It's the kind of track that might not explode the first time you listen, but it gradually grows on you as you listen again. YOASOBI continues to be one of the most consistent Japanese groups I've ever heard. Even the songs I like the least still manage to be better than a lot of things out there. A relaxing, well-produced, and very enjoyable song to listen to. Mesmo Undead sendo uma das músicas do grupo que menos me marcou até agora, ainda assim ela consegue ser extremamente boa. Isso diz muito sobre a qualidade musical da dupla. Depois que ouvi as openings de Beastars, principalmente aquelas músicas cheias de personalidade e energia únicas, acabei ficando completamente preso no estilo do YOASOBI. Desde então comecei a procurar mais músicas deles, e isso eventualmente me trouxe até Undead. O que mais gosto no grupo é como eles conseguem criar músicas com uma identidade muito própria. Existe sempre aquela mistura de instrumental energético com vocais suaves e emocionais da Ikura, algo que deixa as músicas ao mesmo tempo relaxantes e intensas dependendo do momento. Undead segue exatamente essa fórmula, mas de uma maneira um pouco mais calma comparada a outras músicas mais explosivas da dupla. A música tem uma atmosfera muito agradável de ouvir. É o tipo de som que funciona tanto prestando atenção na letra quanto apenas deixando tocar de fundo enquanto faz alguma coisa. O instrumental é leve, os vocais são ótimos como sempre e a produção é extremamente limpa. Dá para perceber facilmente o cuidado que o grupo coloca em cada detalhe das composições. Mesmo não sendo minha favorita deles, ainda achei uma experiência muito boa. Talvez o maior “problema” seja justamente o fato de eu comparar automaticamente com outras músicas absurdamente marcantes do próprio YOASOBI. Quando você já ouviu algumas das melhores faixas da dupla, o padrão de expectativa acaba ficando muito alto. Ainda assim, Undead continua sendo uma música muito agradável e fácil de revisitar. É aquele tipo de faixa que talvez não exploda na primeira vez que você escuta, mas vai crescendo aos poucos conforme você ouve novamente. YOASOBI continua sendo um dos grupos japoneses mais consistentes que já ouvi. Mesmo as músicas que menos gosto ainda conseguem ser melhores do que muita coisa por aí. Uma música relaxante, bem produzida e muito gostosa de ouvir. Nota: 6/10.
